Chinese Friend Finder is part of the FriendFinder network, meaning that you get all of the useful features available across its network of dating websites. You gain access to a wide variety of features and can talk to all sorts of members from around the world.

Even though it’s considered a Chinese dating site you’ll actually find quite a few non-Chinese members who are interested in meeting Chinese people or people of Chinese origin.

On the other hand, it does seem rather unfocused and we found it comparatively tricky to find Chinese members, especially considering that was meant to be the distinguishing difference between this site and the others.

Prices are fair and around industry standard, starting at one month's membership for under $20, although this site is more expensive that some of its sisters.

The free basic membership provides a way to examine the services before you take out a contract, which is a very practical way of getting a feel for things.

There are also contract options which allow members to chat with you without having to pay for membership, so some users might have included this in their contract and you can get in touch for free.

The more cash you spend on membership, the more features you unlock.  Paying members also receive priority telephone assistance, more access to members' videos and are shown at the top of member’s searches.

The site’s help Files, FAQ page and customer service are fairly useful if you have any problems, and we were glad to see that there were quite a few members online when we were. There are also blogs, discussion boards and live chat options if you fancy chewing the cud with people outside of regular email-style messages.

People seem to have made an effort in uploading photographs and completing their profile pages, which is good to see. You can see when people are online as you browse or perform a search.

There’s also a “members near me” tab which speedily identifies members within your area, which can be useful if you don’t wish to travel.

You can start to build up a Friends network so it’s easy to stay up to date with your favorite members, plus the option of deleting all members in this list with inactive profiles right away.

In a number of ways this dating site works well, borrowing features and members from its network. However, we’re not persuaded that it’s concentrated enough on Chinese members to really stand out as a hugely useful Chinese dating site. Making sure that it’s Chinese-specific with information about China, its people and cultures, would help to give this site a greater sense being tailored to a specific audience.

Those things considered, we feel that ChineseFriendFinder.com has enough positives to make it work checking out, whether or not you’re exclusively interested in Chinese dating.
